About Duct, in a sentence or a paragraph

Short: Duct finds anything in your documents, on your own computer.

Longer: Duct is a private document search app from Tensflare. It reads PDFs, Office files, scans, email, WhatsApp chats and dozens of other formats on your own computer, and shows exactly where each result came from: the file, the page and the words that matched. It works offline, keeps a ledger of every connection it makes, and the app is open source under the Apache 2.0 licence. Teams can run it on their own servers, where results follow each file’s sharing; those team features are source-available under the Elastic License 2.0.
